Ethiopia

Ethiopia's history stretches back to the dawn of humanity, with some of the oldest hominid fossils discovered within its borders. The Kingdom of D'mt emerged in the 10th century BC, laying the foundations for later civilizations. The Aksumite Kingdom rose to prominence, adopting Christianity in the 4th century AD and becoming a major trading power. Following Aksum's decline, various dynasties ruled, including the Zagwe and Solomonic dynasties, shaping the country's cultural and political landscape. Ethiopia successfully resisted European colonization, maintaining its independence throughout the Scramble for Africa.
