Summary

The Kingdom of the Netherlands was established in 1815 after Napoleon's defeat, uniting territories previously under French and Austrian rule. The Kingdom comprises four constituent countries: the Netherlands, Aruba, Curaçao, and Sint Maarten, each with a degree of autonomy.
