North Borneo

North Borneo was a British protectorate established in the late 19th century through concessions from the Sultanates of Brunei and Sulu. Managed by the North Borneo Chartered Company, it later became a British Crown colony following the events of World War II. The territory is located in the northern part of the island of Borneo, corresponding to modern-day Sabah.
