Sultanate of Brunei (1368–1888)

The Sultanate of Brunei was a powerful Malay state centered on the northern coast of Borneo. It expanded significantly following the fall of Malacca and exerted influence across the Philippine archipelago. The state eventually transitioned into a British protectorate during the 19th century.
