Summary
The Donetsk–Krivoy Rog Soviet Republic was proclaimed on 12 February 1918 as a self‑declared Soviet republic within the Ukrainian People's Republic of Soviets. It covered industrial regions of eastern Ukraine, including the cities of Donetsk and Kryvyi Rih. The entity existed only briefly and was dissolved after the Treaty of Brest‑Litovsk and lack of support from Lenin.
