Hunza (princely state)

Hunza was a Burusho kingdom and princely state located in the Gilgit-Baltistan region. It maintained a unique status as an independent monarchy before entering into a subsidiary alliance with British India. The state was eventually abolished and integrated into Pakistan in the late 20th century.
