Kwantung Leased Territory

The Kwantung Leased Territory was a Japanese leased territory in the Liaodong Peninsula from 1905 to 1945. Initially acquired from the Qing Empire in 1895, it was briefly transferred to Russia before Japan regained control in 1905. It served as a crucial base for Japan's expansionist policies in Manchuria.
