Hesse-Marburg

Hesse-Marburg was a landgraviate that formed part of the Holy Roman Empire. It centered around the city of Marburg and surrounding towns in what is now Upper Hesse. The territory emerged from inheritance divisions and was eventually reabsorbed into larger Hessian states.
