Summary

Lebowa was a Bantustan in northeastern South Africa, created as a homeland for Northern Sotho peoples. Seshego initially served as its capital before the construction of Lebowakgomo. It was granted self-governance in 1972 and dissolved in 1994, becoming part of Limpopo province.
