Summary
Makran was an autonomous princely state allied with British India until 1947, later becoming part of Pakistan. Ruled by the Gichki Nawabs of Rajput origin, the state encompassed areas of modern-day Gwadar, Kech, and Panjgur. It ceased to exist in 1955 after acceding to Pakistan in 1947.
