Mecklenburg-Güstrow

Mecklenburg-Güstrow was a state within the Holy Roman Empire in Northern Germany, ruled by the House of Mecklenburg. It experienced three periods of existence, stemming from partitions of the Mecklenburg duchy in 1480, 1520, and 1621. The territory was often contested between branches of the ruling family and impacted by wider European conflicts.
