Summary
The Neo-Inca State was a rump state established in 1537 at Vilcabamba by Manco Inca Yupanqui following the collapse of the Inca Empire. It served as a final stronghold for the Inca royal lineage against Spanish conquistadors. The state ceased to exist in 1572 after the execution of Túpac Amaru.
