Operational Zone of the Adriatic Littoral

This Nazi German administrative unit was established in 1943 on the northern Adriatic coast following the Italian capitulation. It was attached to the Reichsgau of Carinthia and governed from the capital city of Trieste. The zone was notorious for the genocidal activities overseen by Odilo Globocnik.
