The Pandya dynasty was an ancient Tamil dynasty of South India, flourishing from at least the 4th century BCE. They ruled from the inland city of Madurai and the port of Korkai, controlling territories in present-day Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka. The dynasty experienced periods of imperial dominance, notably between the 6th and 10th centuries CE.
