Summary
The Province of Quebec was established by Great Britain in 1763 after conquering New France during the Seven Years' War. It encompassed the former French colony of Canada, extending from Labrador to the Great Lakes. The Quebec Act of 1774 restored French customary law and enlarged its boundaries.
