Reichskommissariat of Belgium and Northern France

Established in July 1944, this Nazi German administration governed occupied Belgium and northern France. It replaced a prior military government and aimed to integrate the region into the Third Reich. The territory was largely conquered by the Allies during Operation Overlord, but formally annexed by Germany.
