Republic of Artsakh

Artsakh, also known as Nagorno-Karabakh, was a breakaway state in the South Caucasus, internationally recognized as part of Azerbaijan. Its capital was Stepanakert, and it controlled territory within the former Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Oblast. The region's history is marked by disputes between Armenia and Azerbaijan, escalating into conflict in the late 20th century.
