Republic of Montenegro (1992–2006)

The Republic of Montenegro existed as a federated state within Yugoslavia and Serbia & Montenegro from 1992 to 2006. President Momir Bulatović, allied with Slobodan Milošević, initially supported a unified Yugoslavia. Independence was declared in 2006 following a referendum, ending the state's existence.
