Summary
The Republic of Mountainous Armenia was a short-lived anti-Bolshevik state established in 1921. It encompassed territories now within Armenia's Vayots Dzor and Syunik provinces, and parts of Azerbaijan. Garegin Nzhdeh led the republic, supported by local guerrilla forces, after the February Uprising.
