Summary
The People's State of Reuss emerged in 1919 from the merger of Reuss-Gera and Reuss-Greiz following the German Revolution. It was a short-lived state within the Weimar Republic, formed after the abdication of Prince Heinrich XXVII. The state ultimately dissolved in 1920, becoming part of Thuringia.
