Summary
The Samudera Pasai Sultanate was a Muslim kingdom located on the north coast of Sumatra from the 13th to 16th centuries. Founded by Merah Silu, who later became Malik ul Salih in 1267 CE, it flourished as a key trading hub. The sultanate was eventually annexed by the Aceh Sultanate in 1524 after a Portuguese invasion.
