Sanjak of Novi Pazar

The Sanjak of Novi Pazar was an Ottoman administrative unit established in 1865, encompassing parts of modern Montenegro, Serbia, and Kosovo. It originated from the Raška region, historically part of Medieval Serbia, conquered by the Ottomans in the 15th century. The region served as a crucial frontier march and a center for trade, with Novi Pazar becoming its administrative hub.
