Saybrook Colony

Saybrook Colony was established in 1635 by Puritan noblemen seeking refuge from Charles I's rule. It was located at the mouth of the Connecticut River in Old Saybrook, Connecticut. The colony's charter, the Warwick Patent, was later used to justify the existence of the Connecticut Colony.
