Second French Empire

The Second French Empire, established in 1852, was founded by Louis-Napoléon Bonaparte, who became Napoleon III. It saw significant infrastructure development, including a national railway network and the renovation of Paris. The Empire ended with the Franco-Prussian War and Napoleon III's capture in 1870.
