Summary
The State of Slovenes, Croats and Serbs was a political entity formed in October 1918 from the southern territories of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. It represented the first incarnation of a Yugoslav state based on Pan-Slavic ideology. After thirty-three days, it merged with the Kingdom of Serbia to form the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes.
