State of Syria

The State of Syria was a French Mandate territory established in 1925 following the union of the states of Aleppo and Damascus. It functioned under French colonial administration until the eventual transition toward independence. The entity was marked by significant local resistance, including the Great Syrian Revolt led by Sultan Pasha el Atrash.
