State of the Teutonic Order

The State of the Teutonic Order was a theocratic state established by the Teutonic Knights along the Baltic Sea during the 13th-century Northern Crusades. It encompassed territories including Prussia, Livonia, and Estonia, serving as a major power in Northern Europe until its decline after the Battle of Grunwald. The state existed as a monastic entity until its secularization in 1525.
