Sultanate of Mohéli

The Sultanate of Mohéli was a sovereign state located on the island of Mohéli in the Comoros archipelago. It was established in the 19th century and maintained its independence until becoming a French protectorate. The sultanate was eventually integrated into the Comoros after a period of colonial rule.
