Summary
The Toungoo dynasty was a powerful ruling house of Burma that unified the country and established the largest empire in Southeast Asian history. Based initially in Taungoo and later in Ava, the dynasty oversaw significant administrative and legal reforms. It eventually collapsed in 1752 following internal rebellions.
