Transpadane Republic

The Transpadane Republic was a short-lived French client state established in Milan following Napoleon's victory over Austrian forces in 1796. It encompassed territories across the Po River and served as a precursor to the Cisalpine Republic. The administration was organized into four departments and operated under the oversight of French military commanders.
