Transvaal Province

The Transvaal was a province of South Africa from 1910 until 1994, named for its geographical location north of the Vaal River. Its capital was Pretoria, which also served as the executive capital of the nation. Following the end of apartheid, the province was dissolved and subdivided into modern provinces like Gauteng and Limpopo.
