Summary
The Tuvan People's Republic was a partially recognized socialist state in North Asia that existed from 1921 to 1944. It emerged from the former Russian protectorate of Uriankhai Krai and maintained close ties with the Soviet Union. The republic was eventually annexed into the Russian SFSR.
