Summary
The Union of Kėdainiai was a short-lived 1655 agreement between Lithuanian magnates and the Swedish Empire during the Second Northern War. It aimed to end the union between Lithuania and Poland, establishing the Grand Duchy of Lithuania as a Swedish protectorate. The pact was driven by the Radziwiłł family but collapsed following Swedish military defeats.
