Summary
The United Baltic Duchy was a proposed client state of the German Empire proclaimed in November 1918 in Riga. It was intended to encompass the regions of Courland, Livonia, and Estonia under the leadership of a Baltic German Regency Council. The project failed immediately following Germany's defeat in World War I and the emergence of independent Latvia and Estonia.
