Summary
The Veps National Volost was a short-lived municipal autonomy established in the Republic of Karelia, Russia, between 1996 and 2004. Centered in the village of Shyoltozero, it was created to preserve the culture and administrative rights of the Vepsian people. Following its disestablishment, the territory was reorganized into three rural municipalities subordinated to the Prionezhsky District.
