Yugoslavia

Yugoslavia existed in Central Europe and the Balkans from 1918 to 1992, originating from the merger of the Kingdom of Serbia and the State of Slovenes, Croats and Serbs. It was initially known as the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes, reflecting the unification of South Slavic peoples. The country underwent several name changes and political shifts, including periods of monarchy and communist rule under Josip Broz Tito.
