Summary
Zaqatala Governorate was a short-lived administrative division of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, existing from 1918 to 1920. It was formed after the Russian Revolution from territory previously part of the Russian Empire. The region was also claimed by the Democratic Republic of Georgia, leading to territorial disputes.
