Summary
The Herzegovina-Neretva Canton is one of ten cantons of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, located in the southern part of the country. It encompasses the Neretva river valley and includes the coastal municipality of Neum, Bosnia's only access to the sea. The canton was established following the Washington Agreement in 1994 and formally constituted in 1996.
