Summary
Kľak is a village located in the Žarnovica District of the Banská Bystrica Region in Slovakia. The village experienced a horrific tragedy during WWII, being burned by Waffen-SS and Heimatschutz units in 1945, resulting in 84 deaths. Today, it is a small municipality with a predominantly Slovak population.
