Lower Bavaria

Lower Bavaria is an administrative region in eastern Bavaria, Germany, encompassing nine districts and 258 municipalities. Historically, it was a duchy created in 1255, undergoing several divisions and reunifications before becoming part of the Kingdom of Bavaria in 1805. Key attractions include the cities of Landshut and Passau, as well as the Bavarian Forest.
