Łowicz County is a powiat in Łódź Voivodeship, central Poland, created on 1 January 1999 following the 1998 local‑government reform. Its administrative seat and only town is Łowicz, located 48 km north‑east of the regional capital Łódź. The county comprises ten gminas (one urban, nine rural) and borders seven neighboring counties.
