Pando Department

Pando is a department located in northern Bolivia, bordering Brazil and Peru, within the Amazon rainforest. Named after president José Manuel Pando, it was formed from the remnants of the Acre Territory lost to Brazil after the Acre War in 1903. Cobija serves as its capital, reflecting a historical connection to a lost Bolivian Pacific port.
