Summary
Liège Province is the easternmost province of Wallonia, Belgium, bordering three countries. It originated from the unification of the Prince-Bishopric of Liège with the French Department of the Ourthe in 1795. Napoleon ordered the destruction of Liège's vineyards to eliminate competition with French wine.
