Summary
Rodrigues is an autonomous outer island of Mauritius, located in the Indian Ocean. Discovered by Diogo Rodrigues in 1528, it was initially named Dina Arobi by Arab explorers. The island gained autonomous status in 2002, governed by the Rodrigues Regional Assembly.
