Rosenthal is a small town situated in the southeast of the Waldeck-Frankenberg district in Hesse, Germany. Founded in 1327 as a Mainz town, it later became part of the Landgraviate of Hesse in 1464. The town is known for being the site of Hesse's last witch burnings in 1688.
