Sucre (state)

Sucre State is one of the 23 federal entities of Venezuela, with Cumaná serving as its capital. It was the first region in the country visited by Christopher Columbus, who famously dubbed it Tierra de Gracia. The state is characterized by the Manzanares River and a rich colonial history.
