Talas Region

Talas Region is an administrative oblast located in northwestern Kyrgyzstan with its capital in the city of Talas. The area is defined by the U-shaped Talas Valley, bordered by the Kyrgyz Ala-Too and Talas Ala-Too mountain ranges. It is historically significant as the site of the 8th-century Battle of Talas.
