Teine-ku, Sapporo

Teine-ku is one of the ten administrative wards of Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan, established in 1989. The area is home to Mount Teine, which hosted alpine skiing and sliding events during the 1972 Winter Olympics. Its name originates from the Ainu word for a marsh or wet place.
