Yap State

Yap State is part of the Federated States of Micronesia, situated in the western Pacific. Historically, it was the center of the Yapese Empire, controlling islands between Yap and Chuuk. Colonia serves as the state capital, and the islands were visited by Portuguese explorers in the 16th century.
