Zarumilla Province

Zarumilla Province is located in the Tumbes Region of northwestern Peru, bordering Ecuador and the Pacific Ocean. Established in 1942, it contains settlements like Matapalo and Aguas Verdes, the latter connected to Ecuador by a bridge. The Zarumilla River defines part of the Peru-Ecuador border, subject to territorial disputes.
